I just booked a 4N package at CM Phuket for my honeymoon. It''s my first time gng to Phuket and CM! I''m extremely excited cos it''ll be my first ever trip tgtr with my significant other & will be right after our wedding! Hahaha! I''m trying to keep calm but can''t dismiss the doubts after reading not-so-nice reviews from past travellers at CM Phuket! Some complained about the food - not as fantastic as they hd expected, some complained abt the GOs (that they were unfriendly & unaccomodating esp twds Asians).Sigh! Please enlighten me,somebody...will CM Phuket ever be that bad? It''s my honeymoon and I''m darn thrilled! I really want this to be special smashal! =) Love, is all that's worth living and dying for.

Was in Phuket twice in 2008 despite the looong flight! The village is among my favourites, and boy, I know quite some. Super GO team, extremely friendly. Food above average (at that time that is, but chefs change like the CDV and the GOs). Would go in a heartbeat, but I'll return to La Pointe aux Canonniers (what else ) soon! I am sure, you'll have a great time. Just keep in mind, it is also what YOU make out of it. Do not expect everything from the team! Club Med is different from a traditional hotel. Someone just wrote somewhere: You either love or hate it. I 100% agree with that.

Kiki and I are the biggest cheerleaders in this forum for Phuket. I have been there twice, and remember, for me it is a 22 hour flight from Chicago and takes two days! I would go back in a heartbeat.
Although the food and GO team vary with the season, both times that I have been there, the food was some of the best that I have ever had at any Club Med. As to the friendliness of the GO's, each time when I went to the club, there were no American GO's and three other American GM's in the entire village. Yet, I was made to feel right at home. It is a very international village.
If you go to the club with a friendly attitude, you will be met with the same attitude. I love this club and so will you.

Love the place ie physical, ambience and environment. Sometimes love the food and the GOs - depending on the GO team and individual GOs.
And hey it's your honeymoon ! Spend more significant quality time with your significant other half enjoying yourselves !
