hi, all! Planning my third trip to CM Cancun. 98 and 02 solo trips were great - now I''''m going with the wife.

A question for those who have been there before and after Cancun became family village: do you notice children or the GO''s keep them busy and out of sight for the most part? I''d really hate to listen to whining and screaming...

   

From my experience in Cancun, the GOs did keep the kids quite busy. With the exception of during meals, the MiniClub kids were almost never around, unless they were walking from one activity to another. Even then, they were so well behaved and there was an adequate number of GOs with them that there weren't any problems.

Additionally, the early dining times for families did help a lot at meals in terms of screaming kids running around.

I wish that I could have said the same for the PassWorld-aged kids, but they were everywhere, all of the time and usually quite annoying.

   

The time I really noticed the younger kids was around 4 pm at the pool. I think the miniclub closes around then and many of the kids went with their parents to the pool. The older Passworld kids are more noticable but again they have actvities for them. Also hit the late lunch at the windsurf. Very few kids. Also the beach past the windsurf has few kids except when they do the kayak outing in the afternoon. But even then they are more in the water and not on the beach. Saw very few kids for tennis and they can not do the water ski. I do not like it being a family place but still a good place. Not sure when you are going but we tried in April and May and it was booked a lot of the weeks so we are doing Turks.

However, even with the kids, CM Cancun was louder in 1994
